Will it is a big tragedy when the glaciers of Andes Mountains disappear?
Andes Mountains , which extend over Bolivia、Peru、Ecuador, were covered with numerously bright
and huge glaciers among many areas of them. They seem to be lying there firmly from the past
to the future and never change their face the same as the mountains below.
But, recently, a report said that these glaciers are so fragile. It would be an unimaginable and
severe damage to South Americans if the glaciers melt down complete.
Most scientists believe that the disappearance of glaciers is an irrefutable evidence to prove
the big change of global climate, which were caused by human activities: the water that comes from
Andes’ glaciers was provided for drinking water and irrigation for arid region, and provided for
a reservoir of dam to help produce power. Thus, once the glaciers of Andes Mountains vanished,
which means many South American countries in the tropical area would face no water and no power.
